Wakeboard boat rentals

1 – General Conditions
All boat hire, boat hire bookings and lake trip bookings made with the company are subject to the following conditions OffAxis Sàrl This implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions by the client and their guests. These conditions form an integral part of the contract, whether written or oral, concluded for the rental of a boat with or without a skipper on Lake Geneva or any other lake, for a fixed or indefinite period. They are available on the company's website and on each boat.
Every passenger boarding a chartered boat must read these conditions and agrees to abide by them. For safety reasons, on board chartered boats or during a lake excursion, the decisions of the pilot/charterer and the following points are non-negotiable:

2 – Piloting
For the first rental, OffAxis reserves the right to conduct a half-hour test and familiarization session charged at CHF 100.-

3 – Reservations
A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking and the balance is due on the day of hire. The booking is considered valid upon receipt of the deposit by the lessor.

4 – Lessee's Responsibility
The boat is handed over to the renter in perfect working order, clean, and with a full tank of fuel. The renter agrees to use the boat with the utmost care and to return it in the same condition: clean, in perfect working order, and with a full tank of fuel.
It is strictly forbidden to transport the boat on a trailer or to carry out repairs without the prior agreement of the lessor.
If cleaning is required after the rental period, a charge of CHF 150 per hour will be charged. Any missing litres of petrol will be billed. CHF 3.50 per litre. These amounts will be deducted from the deposit.
Any delay in returning the boat will be billed. CHF 100 per quarter of an hour delay.
Damage to hired boats caused by the customer or their guests will be charged to the customerwhich will have to reimburse them at the new price if the insurance does not cover the damage.
Persons sailing or staying on board hired boats, in particular those practising water and lake sports, do so under their sole and entire responsibility. Similarly, sailing and staying on board a hired boat are the sole responsibility of the passengers, and in the case of minors, of their legal representatives. The customer is responsible for personal effects and valuables carried on board.

5 – Caution
A deposit of CHF 2,000.- A security deposit is collected before the departure of the excursion. This deposit is refunded after the boat is returned, provided that the boat is returned in good condition (clean, with a full tank of fuel, and undamaged). In case of damage, missing fuel, or a dirty boat, the deposit will be retained in full until everything is in order and the repairs are completed. A statement of costs will then be sent to the renter.

6 – Cigarettes
SMOKING CIGARS AND CIGARETTES ON BOATS IS ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN! (E-cigarettes and vapes are permitted)

7 – Cancellations
In the event of cancellation more than 24 hours before the rental date, 20% of the total amount will be charged to the customer.
In the event of cancellation within 24 hours of the rental period, 50% of the total amount will be charged to the customer.
In the event of cancellation on the day of hire, 100% of the amount is payable by the customer.

8 – Weather conditions
In the event of unfavourable weather conditions making navigation impracticable, and on the decision of the hire company, the customer may choose between :
Reservation postponed to a later date, or
Full refund of the amount paid, free of charge.

9 – Packages
Rental packages are seasonal. Full payment must be made before the first outing. These packages are valid only between May 15th and September 15th each year. Unused days will not be refunded or carried over to the following year.

10 – Legal Forum
Any dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lausanne, Switzerland.

11 – Changes to the conditions
The information, photos, and other content contained in these terms and conditions may be modified at any time. However, these modifications do not apply to the general terms and conditions, which remain binding.
