Phase 5 Gadget

The Gadget is Phase Five's first hybrid skim style foil board. The advantage of the Skim Style foil design is that it's easier to control the board under your feet as you take off. The Gadget comes with optional footstraps for aggressive use, or as a training aid for new foilers. When we designed the Gadget, we made sure it was very strong so it can take whatever you're willing to throw at it. The thinner skim-type core makes the Gadget superbly manoeuvrable and agile for foiling. The Gadget uses the rail mounting system on the bottom. This allows experienced foilers to mount the foil of their choice, while still being able to micro-adjust it for their own configuration. Taste the sensation of flying with a hydrofoil under your feet, and reinvent your mind about what's possible behind the boat. What's even cooler is that the Gadget can also be used as a wakesurfer. The board comes with a twin fin skim style setup to try out once you've finished your foiling session. The Gadget is available in 54″ and has a wide outline that will suit a wide range of riders. The complete Gadget Board + Foil package comes with the Phase Five Nova Foil. The Phase Five Nova Foil features a 28″ longer mast for more room to fly and pump, which experienced foilers will appreciate.

The Phase Five Nova Surf Foil comes with the larger 760 front wing and neoprene covers. The 760 increases overall lift and stability compared to its predecessor. What's more, the 760 front wing offers even more lateral stability, which is essential for making the sport accessible to beginners. If you're learning for the first time, we strongly recommend that you take a short 18" mast to start with. The short mast will halve the learning curve and allow the rider to be flying over water in no time. Once the rider can glide steadily on the short mast, it's time to move up to the 28″ long mast for the full experience.
